Senior Student | B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering at ITESM

My skills range from Project Management to Programming in multiple languages that include Java, C/C++, PHP, Javascript and Python. I have worked with start-ups, government institutions and private companies, developing web and mobile solutions for the past 5 years.

Me::skillset(2011)

Web Dev

My core set of skills are on Web Development. I have experience on topics that range from Web Standards such as CSS3 and XHTML/HTML5 to Web Services such as REST and SOAP.

I use PHP 5.x for Database Driven Applications in MySQL, mostly with CodeIgniter as a Framework. As for client-side applications, I use Javascript with the Jquery v1.7 library.
Java - C/C++

I have coded a couple desktop applications in Java and C/C++. I'm full aware of most common Data Structures in both languages.

The projects I have worked on involved the RPN Algorithm on a Algebraic Calculator, Ada Boost Implementation for a Face Recognition Software and a ROBOTIS Bioloid Application that was controlled with a Xbox 360 Kinect.
Proj. Management

I have managed projects from small, medium to big enterprises for about 4 years now. I'm familiar with standards such as the IEEE - 830/1998 R&S as well as with most common Project Management Areas.

The majority of the projects I have worked on implemented QA Knowledge Areas such as Source Control, Bug Tracking, Software Configuration Management and Unit Testing.
Design

Even though I don't have a background on Design, I have experience with Adobe Illustrator CS5 and Adobe Photoshop CS5.

I have created multiple web sites from PSD Templates through Slicing Techniques in both Softwares, as well as created diagrams to illustrate data and relevant information.

A Canadian-American Enterprise that works on Supply Chain Management, Staffing Solutions and Third Party Logistics on the Aerospace and Mining industries.

The project involved Technology Consulting as well as Custom Web Development under Wordpress (Plugin Development) and PyroCMS.

ROBOTIS Bioloid Robot Xbox 360 Kinect Controlled

This project involved the effort of 5 people: a Car-shaped Robot able to be controlled through a Xbox 360 Kinect.

A range of technologies were used for this project, such as ZigBee and Win32 ANSI C Programming.

Web Sites

I have deployed multiple pages using Wordpress as a CMS and CodeIgniter as a Framework. Some of those webpages were PSD Templates that I sliced into HTML/CSS
Face Recognition Script / Viola-Jones Algorithm

One of my projects involved to code from scratch an implementation of the well-known face recognition algorithm Ada Boost on the Viola-Jones implementation on ANSI-C.

This project was accomplished with other 4 members as part of a Intelligent Systems class.
